Giving Thanks Friday

This week I am thankful for:

Laughter - it truly is the best medicine!

A new healthy eating plan.  I got lax in this area of life and it feels good to regain that again, and, even take it a step further.  (I plan to post some updates and recipes soon.)

Honesty.  In today's world it is pretty easy to fib your way through much, create an image through social media that is not really you, but honesty is still the best policy.

Having my parents ride in the backseat for a three hour round trip.  It was a role reversal from my younger years but gave us a good chance to visit while my hubby drove.

A beautiful love story.  My nephew and his new bride exchanged vows this past weekend and it was such fun reliving bits of their courtship.  So happy to officially welcome her to the family.

Being brought together with the right person at the right time to share each other's burdens.

Continued fresh garden produce just seconds from our back door.  I probably say this every season but I am just so grateful for what we have.

A variety of light reading available for those leisurely August afternoons.  Now I just need one of those afternoons... : )

What are you thankful for?

May your weekend be filled with wonder, laced with peace and bursting with love...

(Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good: his love endures forever. Psalm 118:1)

  2. I love your list this week! I will be thankful if I can find one of those leisurely afternoons. I think you've inspired me to just make it happen. I truly need an afternoon in the hammock with a great book and a glass of wine.
Each week that I read your list it makes me smile, Mindy, because you truly do appreciate and inspire all of us to notice and embrace ALL of it...big and small. Thank you, friend. Happy Friday!

Did you turn around every so often and say, "Don't make me come back there!" :-)
