Dare to soar

Life has been a bit challenging around here this week.  I spotted this beautiful creature near the river just minutes from home.  The photos are not great quality because I had to shoot quickly.   It was a perfectly timed reminder though to not let my circumstances (actually those of family I dearly love) keep my heart grounded, to let those burdens go, to renew my strength, to rise higher, to soar.

One can never consent to creep when one feels an impulse to soar.

(Helen Keller)

When circumstances try to ground you
remember:
You were made to soar.

(Is. 40:31)

Refuse to be average.
Let your heart soar as high as it will.

(AW Tozer)

Whatever challenges you may be facing this day

I pray you are able to rise above them.

Dare to soar.

  1. Hi Mindy! We were meant to soar on the wings of the Spirit, no matter what is trying to tie us down. I pray that you are able to glide through these present troubles, and get back to flying again soon.
    Happy September! XXOO

  3. A beautiful post that I can certainly relate to...pretty much on a daily basis. These burdens can certainly try to overtake us, especially when they concern the ones we love. I have to remind myself daily that God is the one in control and recently I saw a sign come across my facebook page that said "Be a WARRIOR, not a WORRIER". It really stuck with me so that is what I am trying to do. Thanks for this perfect reminder!

  5. Your pictures are lovely, Mindy. My heart skips a beat whenever I see an eagle and I've had many encounters with them - some more close-up and personal than I would care for!
It seems that everyone needed this today, my friend, so you are helping all of us like you always do.
I hope your family members will find their way to soaring again soon :)

  6. Beautiful pictures of the eagle. A majestic bird to go with your post, God has a unique way of showing He is always with us, doesn't he.

  7. We saw a pair of nesting eagles when we were visiting in Virginia this summer. What an amazing sight! My family stood watching the nest for almost a half hour. Thanks for this great reminder of His purposes for each of us. Blessings, Susan
