Giving Thanks Friday

This week I am thankful for:

An impromptu dinner of Subway sandwiches in the park.  What a lovely way to start out the long weekend.

A deer who happened to visit some neighboring property.  (Apparently he is camera shy because just as soon as I got back to the window with the camera he turned to leave.)

A loved one whose health has made a dramatic turnaround.  So very, thankful!

Sun filled mornings come to life with the music of cooing doves.  Such a peaceful sound.

Tomato plants heavy with the last of the season's fruits.

A life filled with so much love..

What are you thankful for?

May your weekend be filled with wonder, laced with peace and bursting with love...

(Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good: his love endures forever. Psalm 118:1)

  1. I am thankful for good friends who make me laugh. I talked to a friend this week who lives on the other side of the country and we laughed for 3 hours! My face hurt by the time we hung up.
Like you, Mindy, I'm thankful for the wildlife that visits me in my backyard. All summer long, I've had the cutest baby bunnies and I'm relieved to see they made it through the summer and will be good and fat going into the winter.
I am thankful for the opportunity to start a whole new part of my blogging journey - more on that to come ;)
I am thankful that you are back blogging, my friend. I love your Giving Thanks Friday! Enjoy the holiday weekend. xoxo

  5. So much to be thankful for, isn't there?
I am thankful for the grace of God in many, many areas of my life.
For my family, friends, my home, a safe haven and a place to call our own graced with God's goodness.
Rain, and lots of it! We have nearly reached a 100% in our water level. That is always a concern with wild fires in our mountain area.
Friends like you, in this sweet blogging community.
Have a beautiful rest of the week-end.

  6. Hi Mindy! I love that little deer! Camera shy, but still beautiful.
I am so grateful for my health, and the health of my husband. We had a washer fatality yesterday, but today took advantage of Labor Day sales, and we'll be back in business washing our clothes soon. What a great thing it is to be able to replace a major appliance without even blinking.

    Happy Weekend :)

  7. I'm your neighbor in the link-up (The Weekend Brew!) over at Barbie's blog. My first time joining in over there. I just wanted to say "hello" and wish you a wonderful weekend!

I love your little thankful list..and I'm thankful too... for so many blessings. Undeserved...each and every one. But I would have quite the list myself. :)

  9. I have to admit my face has been turned downward this week. Your sweet list has inspired me to slow for moments interwoven in my difficulties and look up. The picture of the deer was a good thermometer for me. We are constantly fighting deer at our house, and quite frankly I don't like them. But seriously - we're blessed to live where such gorgeous creatures roam freely. I do have much to be thankful for too Thanks for the encouragement Mindy. Blessings to you.
