Giving Thanks Friday

This week I am thankful for:

Sweet spring birds and their lovely songs that great me each morning.

A homemade Easter card from a special blogging friend.  (Thank you again Ms. Stephanie!)

The smallest bottle of outdoor paint that can transform a weary piece of garden art into something wonderful.

News of yet another niece expecting her first child.  We should have another baby boy or girl to snuggle by Christmastime!

Friends who help friends through the inevitable rough patches of life, who pray faith-filled prayers and provide strong shoulders.

A daughter who can make even a trip to the dentist seem like a fun outing (ok, it was HER in the dental chair and not me) and a trip to the home improvement store with my mama to dream about their new bathroom.

Two neighbor men sharing a long belly laugh while taking a break from their tractor work.  Joy!

What are you thankful for?

May your weekend be filled with wonder, laced with peace and bursting with love...

(Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good: his love endures forever. Psalm 118:1)

  1. I am thankful for the birds too, Mindy. They woke me up at 4:30 am this morning with their chirping and at first I wondered what the noise was but then when I realized it was birds, I didn't even care about the early hour, lol.

I am thankful it's Saturday and I get to catch up on me time today because it's been a frantic week.

I bought a beautiful purple vase this week and have filled it with white tulips and I'm thankful for the small joy it brings me each day with it's simple beauty.

Congrats on another upcoming birth, Mindy! Have a lovely weekend.

  3. Hi Mindy! No surprises at the home improvement store this time?
We just started filling our bird feeder, and I do love hearing the birds sing and stop by for a seed or two. I am thankful that my friend is healing well after surgery. I get to see her next weekend! I'm thankful for that too.

    Have a blessed weekend!

  4. Love your list, Mindy. Mine includes a great week preparing for the church rummage sale with some easy going, fun-filled ladies, for my husband who can turn ANYTHING into something hilarious, for a recipe turning out the way it looked in the picture, and for the chance to see up close the big ol' groundhog that lives under our shed.
