Giving Thanks Friday

This week I am thankful for:

Crisp, clean sheets and soft pillows and nights where rest comes easy.

Answered prayers for a brother-in-law who came through valve replacement/bypass surgery and is now resting at home comfortably.

Birthday celebrations for my mother-in-law and sister, for the love flowing in them and for them.

A husband who not only tolerates my "hair-brained" ideas for home improvement but often helps me implement them.  : )

The birthing of two tiny lives, full of promise, to our extended family this week.  Welcome Lucie and Jocelyn - and much love to both families!

Rain and sunshine and turned up earth where peas are nearing two inches in height.

New beginnings for a much loved family friend who has weathered unthinkable tragedy with great faith and wonderous grace.  Her life begins anew tomorrow as she walks down the aisle to marry her beloved.  May God bless them both...

What are you thankful for?

May your weekend be filled with wonder, laced with peace and bursting with love...

(Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good: his love endures forever. Psalm 118:1)

  1. So many lovely blessings, Mindy! I am thankful for two sunny days this week that were warm enough to enjoy walking outdoors, for the excitement of house-hunting for my son and his family, for the brilliant yellow lilies I found for my mom for Easter, for the heart-warming texts my grandsons sent me, for the comfort of laying in bed with my head on my husband's chest while the cat combs my hair with his claws. A good week indeed!

  3. You've had quite a week, Mindy, and how special that you have two little new ones!
I am thankful for the warming temperatures at last. I am thankful for the reading time I have with my nephew. He's a delight to watch as he learns. He is an information junkie and I love his curiosity.
Have a wonderful weekend, Mindy. xo

  4. Hi Mindy! I'm so happy for your friend. What a great reason to rejoice! Congrats on the peas too. My jonquils are peeking their heads up, I hope they don't get slammed by cold...
I am thankful for family. We went to see my nephew and niece in their high school play last night, and then watched my other nephew run in a track meet. So great to be connected :)

Enjoy the rest of your weekend :)

    1. I love school plays! I know the drama departments have been cut in many schools and it is so sad - a loss of a creative outlet. I hope your flowers survive the cold. It seems to finally be warming up around the country.
