Giving Thanks Friday

This week I am thankful for:

The sound of my husband mowing the grass for the first time this season.  Spring really is on it's way!

The return of the spring birds and all their morning "chirpiness".  I love listening to their sounds in the early morning hours.

Tazo green tea blend with lemonaid.  The one from Starbucks is great,  but the knock-off recipes found online come pretty close (and fit my budget better).

And outing with my mom and daughter - three generations of fun.  We visited Target, the Dollar Tree and JoAnn Fabric with a break in between for lunch at Panera.

A sweet blogger friend (Thank you Robyn!) who generously offered and created blog buttons for me.

A trip to the local garden center (ok, two trips) with my husband to spend our saved anniversary money for June bearing strawberry plants and some late bearing ones as well, seed potatoes and several packets of organic garden seeds.

What are you thankful for?

May your weekend be filled with wonder, laced with peace and bursting with love...

(Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good: his love endures forever. Psalm 118:1)

  1. Oh boy, strawberries and potatoes; best wishes with your garden. Your green tea with lemonade sounds delicious. So happy you had a nice outing with family.
I was thankful this week for a new, large grocery store opening very close to our home.
Hubby and I had a great time browsing and tasting the free samples!
    Enjoy your weekend.

  3. Hmmm, are you sure that's a bird, Mindy? It kinda looks like some stray dandelions caught on the wire!
I was so happy to help with your buttons, Mindy, and I'm thrilled that you like them.
I'm happy that my little nephews are in LEGOLAND and Disneyland now during school break and having the time of their lives.
I'm very thankful that I had my first photograph accepted by Food Gawker. It's a premier site and I was very intimidated about submitting a photo but I chose to 'dive in' and they liked it! They liked me! I'm sooo doing Sally Field!
Hope you're having a wonderful weekend. Lucky you with your plants and mowed grass!!
    Take care, friend. xo

  6. Your hubby is already mowing the grass?!?! Wow :) Don't you just love the smell of freshly cut grass?

How kind of dear Robyn - she is certainly a sweetheart and I have enjoyed her blog.

Lovely list, Mindy. Your 'Give Thanks' posts are always so refreshing and encouraging. Hugs to you, friend!

  7. Hi Mindy! Happy first day of Spring to you! It snowed a bit this morning, but now the sun is out. I'm thankful for that! Most of the snow is gone, and I can see my lawn. Not ready to be cut, but I can see it!

How fun to have blog buttons, and I think our blog friends are just the best, don't you? What would we do without them. You have been blessed :)
    Ceil
