Giving Thanks Friday (on Saturday again!)

This week I am thankful for:

Sunshine and fresh air.  After a week of some record setting rain totals (and for the Pacific Northwest THAT is saying something!), the sun made its way out yesterday.  My daughter and I went for a long walk around some local ponds.  Like therapy I tell ya...

Helpers.  Asking for help of any kind is not easy for most of us but when we do I am thankful for those ready and willing to be there for us.

Hot chocolate.  It may be early in the season but a mug of that warm, chocolaty goodness satisfied my sweet tooth craving and then some.  I skipped the marshmallows ~ maybe next month : )

Forgiveness.  God's forgiveness and the ability He gives for others to do the same.  I was able to bear witness to it this week and see life giving transformation it brings.

Comedy.  The news reminds us every single day (as well as the internet and even our own phones) of the tragedy in our fallen world so I love hearing a silly joke told by a young nephew, a comedian who reminds us of our own faults through laughter or the reprieve a television comedy temporarily provides.

Hugs.  From my youngest niece's tiny arms to my elderly Grandpa's frail ones, my week was filled with hugs and I have loved (and oh so needed) every one of them.

What are you thankful for?

May your weekend be filled with many reasons to give thanks!

(Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good: his love endures forever. Psalm 118:1)

I am thankful to the man in my life who teaches me so much - especially what is important in life.

I am also thankful for the ability to find humour in all situations. We really need it sometimes! lol

Hugs. I hope you've had a nice weekend, my friend.
