Processing

Vacation time is over and harvesting and processing garden produce is in full swing this week, as well as preparing for a weekend garage sale with family.  It is a wonderfully full season!

I am also processing a beautiful post written by Anne (http://anne-b-good.blogspot.com/) for (in)courage on behalf of Mercy House Kenya.  It is inspiring.  It is important.  It is good.

Please check out her post here  and prayerfully consider your part in helping with Phase I of this project.  As Anne says, "People helping people in need. It's good stuff, people."

  1. Hi Mindy! You are going to be busy! Looks like a good harvest, and I know how much work garage sales are. Phew!

What a tender heart you have to boost Anne's blog. I have visited there, and she is doing amazing things.

    Good luck this week!

    1. Thank you Ceil! We did well on our sale so it feels like the work was worth it. The rain even held off until the end - yay for that.

  2. Anne's post is definitely inspiring. My husband and I work with a couple of pastors in Tanzania on different projects and it's always amazing how God, the God of the Universe no less, allows us to be part of His work. All we have to be is willing and He will open doors of opportunity.

  4. Mindy! I am so grateful that you shared Mercy House Kenya and their need with your blog readers. I'm honored by your kind words regarding the words I wrote. // Guess what? I'm gearing up for a garage sale this weekend too! And very soon I have to do something with all the tomatoes I have... And I host book club on Saturday night... And I will be cheering for my student athletes... It truly is a full season! Blessings to you, friend. xoxo

  5. Hi, Mindy! Thank you for sharing about Mercy HOuse in Kenya. My cousin is a missionary there and in the slums of Nairobi. Can't wait to learn more about Mercy House. Enjoy these beautiful fall days! They are a blessing, for sure.

    1. How wonderful to hear about your cousin. I have a nurse/missionary friend who worked in Kenya some years back, during the civil unrest between the Hutu's and Tutsi's, until it became too dangerous and she was pulled out. So thankful for those who serve in this capacity. I will be praying for your cousin.
