Staycation

We are having a "staycation" of sorts this week and that includes time at the beach.  There are always a few brave surfers who don wet suits and hit the water.  Such fun to watch from the shore.

I loved snapping a photo of the photographers who set up their tripod and giant lens.  There was a lot of beauty of caputure even with the heavy marine layer at the time.

We just loved the creativity of the one who transformed this partially burned piece of driftwood into a cow!

Most of the fishing boats were already in dock yesterday afternoon.

Fascinated by the crab pots.

Beautiful vintage church ~ can't help but wonder of the many prayers prayed within those walls.

And on our way out I spotted a couple of dandelions : )

Whether you are staying home this summer or traveling far, I hope you are finding time to relax, renew and refresh!

  3. How gorgeous! I have been to Cannon Beach when my brother lived in Portland years ago. I remember how cold that water was and how good the huckleberries were!

    Your pictures were gorgeous!

    1. This is actually a beach close to us (about an hour away) in Washington State. Not as pretty as Cannon Beach but has the same cool water! We do have huckleberries here too and I love them.

    1. Hi Erin, It is actually Westport, Washington ( a little fishing town about an hour's drive from our house). I have visited Cannon Beach too and it is a beautiful place. I love Oregon beaches!

  6. Beautiful photos, Mindy! Beachcombing is the best, isn't it? And nowhere like the Pacific Northwest to do it Hugs. Have a great weekend.

    1. Yes, Robyn! I love the beach - even in the stormy weather. It started out with a heavy marine layer but cleared up beautifully as the day wore on.
