Giving thanks Friday

This week I am thankful for:

God's handiwork in sunsets and sunrises and in the faces of those I love.

Daughters who hold your hand as you cry hard tears in the courtroom.

Just enough grace to take us through each moment of each day.

Warm words that comfort the soul and warm banana cake topped with cool whip to go with.

Five turkey's chasing a man down our road at the very moment I NEEDED to laugh.

Little dogs who love big.

What are you thankful for?

May your weekend be filled with many reasons to give thanks!

  1. Your post made me smile and then made me laugh out loud, Mindy - thank you!
I have had a wild turkey running wild in my yard and my sister in law still break out in giggles over it.
I am thankful that a good friend faced his fears and achieved success this week.
I'm thankful for two nephews who's beautiful faces and irrepressible laughter light up my life.
I'm thankful for this blogging community because every day there is something to learn and something to make you smile.
    Have a great weekend, Mindy.
    PS...banana cake is the best!

    1. Robyn, I didn't know if the banana cake would pass your healthy standards - but a treat now and again is okay, right?! I just need them less often :) I had always heard good things about the blogging community and have come to treasure so many of you already. The turkeys along our country lane are ones they are trying to reintroduce to the area but are somewhat domesticated. We see them every now and again but I will never forget them chasing the poor man down the road this week. The faster he went the more excited and loud they got. And in case you are wondering, he did get away safely haha.
